About Gene & Nancy

Nancy & I have been involved in shagging for years. Many of our fondest memories are tied to the dance & the friends we have made while competing or dancing at club events. We now want to share the joy we have felt through shagging with others. We are very active in local shag club events. We serve with the Competitive Shaggers Association to help preserve the dance. We try to help young people learn about the shag by working with the Junior Shag Association. We teach shag classes and private lessons at our home.

Served on the Board of Directors of the Competitive Shaggers Association where Gene has served as president in 1998 and again in 2009.

Six time finalists in the National Shag Dance Championships.

Senior Division Champions, Nationals Shag Dance Championships March 11th, 2006 at Myrtle Beach, SC.

Inducted into The National Living Legends of Dance in November 2007.

Three time finalist in the USA Grand Nationals.

Masters Champions 2008 USA Grand Nationals, Atlanta GA.

Gene is elected to The Junior Shag Association Board of Directors, July 2008
