Welcome to Learn 2 Shag with Gene & Nancy

GN4

It is hard to define what creates the mystique and magic that surrounds the shag. The dance itself is a simple little step that drifted inland after it was conceived along the coast of North & South Carolina. The basic, the central element of the shag, is meant to be improvised upon by the individual dancers. The music is a mix of classic rhythm & blues, country, pop and everything in between. The dance clubs are a combination of your favorite local pub and shrines to the past. The people are carefree and fun-loving. Add all of this together and you get the shag.

Let us guide you on your trip into the shag world. Whether you are new to the dance, looking to pick up some new steps, or are trying to shine up your style - we have an option to help you reach your goal!
